Parrots in urban parks of Rabat

There was a Grey/Timneh Parrot on 3 December at the Botanical Gardens of Rabat. I was caught off guard and could not see much as the bird flew past me — had an instant to look at it as it passed. It looked big (good for Grey Parrot Psittacus erithacus, but a difficult thing to assess with a single flying bird) but the tail looked dull (good for Timneh Parrot Psittacus timneh, but again difficult to assess given the poor light conditions).

At Souissi (Ibn Sina urban forest) the last two times I was there I always saw Rose-ringed Parakeets Psittacula krameri (last time only one, around five the previous visit). One gardener outside the park saw me looking at a flying trio and mentioned that eight of them roosted on a nearby house.

Alas, no Yellow-browed Warbler. Could be there, but silent.
